Q. How is the teacher in an APSACS being evaluated in terms of creativity?
A. The evaluation of teachers occurs inside the schools, since one important gauge of a teacher’s creativity is the performance and involvement of students in the particular subject.

Q. Is training necessary?
A. We strongly recommend that heads, teachers, and coordinators receive training for better implementation of curriculum.
Our training workshop, evaluation studies show that the program is effective when implemented by teachers who received training by APSACS.

Q. How does one become a Master Trainer?
A. After the completion of Staff Development Certificate Course (SDCC) the potential participants will be utilized as Master trainers of APSACS.

Q. Are the training materials copyrighted?
A. Yes, the all materials are copyrighted by the APSACS Secretariat.

Q. Can we reproduce the material?
A. Nobody is allowed to reproduce the teacher’s manual, curriculum, student worksheets.

Q. Is there any computer Syllabus for Class VIII?
A. There is no computer syllabus prescribed for Class VIII by the Secretariat. Initially Ryte Byte- book 3 was allocated for Class VIII. But then it was decided that Class VIII will follow the Matric Syllabus, or as the school administration desires.

Q. What is the purpose of Practical Resource Material Books?
A. These books have been introduced to reinforce the practical lab work for Classes IV – VII. These books should be used for all the practical lectures and lab work.

Q. Is it necessary to take two consecutive periods, always in the lab?
A. No. The rule is made to help the continuity of the practical lecture. If there is a theoretical lecture then utilize those 2 periods for theory. It is only applicable when there is practical work to be done.

Q. How will the Practical Papers be conducted?
A. The Practical Papers will always be conducted in Lab, on computers, in the First and Second Term examination.

Q. Is it necessary for a teacher to make more worksheets apart from those prescribed in the syllabus?
A. For the academic year 2007 – 2008 the numbers of worksheets and activities have already been designed and are mentioned in the First Term syllabus breakup. There is no need to make any more worksheets and activities for any class. In the Second Term the teachers will follow the same practice and make the worksheets according to their requirement.

Q. What kind of questions/work should be used for Class Assessment or Test Assessment?
A. A numbers of worksheets and activities have been designed for this purpose, which test a students’ comprehensive learning, these have been attached with the Syllabus Breakup provided. Only these questions provided should be used to assess.

Q. Should notebooks be maintained for computer subject?
A. Notebooks have to be maintained. It is mandatory. They should be used effectively for writing lecture notes, and short questions and answers. Assessment and Class Tests should also be taken on notebooks. Only objective based questions may be marked on Text Books.
